4th Messinia Pro-Am – The Ultimate Golf Event marks new season opening at The Westin Resort Costa Navarino
The fourth annual Messinia Pro-Am on 19-22 February 2020 will launch the new golf season at Costa Navarino – the prime golf destination in Greece.
The golf tournament, played on both of the multi-awarded signature golf courses, The Dunes Course and The Bay Course, is limited to 50 teams, each of which comprises one PGA professional and three amateurs, competing for a prize fund of 50.000€.
The par-70, 5,422m The Bay Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr, is surrounded by olive groves and overlooks the historic Bay of Navarino. The course meanders through three distinct settings – seaside, canyon, and grove – to provide striking contrasts, while golfers will be amazed by the new earth-sheltered clubhouse, which is blending into the landscape and is almost invisible to the eye.
The par-71, 6,018m, Bernhard Langer and EGD-designed The Dunes Course offers spectacular sea and river views and incorporates links-style features in areas closest to the sea, while occasionally venturing into olive and fruit groves.
Sanctioned by the PGAs of Europe and held under the auspices of the PGAs of Greece and the Hellenic Golf Federation, the Messinia Pro-Am attracts top professional players, celebrities and amateurs from around the world on a memorable three-day golfing experience in this unspoiled yet easily accessible corner on earth, including a pleasurable program of themed events and activities to showcase the region in all its glory.
