The Funky Gourmet summer Pop-Up at Costa Navarino
This summer, Costa Navarino is enhancing its extensive culinary offering. In the stunning location of the brand new, earth-sheltered Clubhouse at Navarino Bay area, overlooking the historic bay with spectacular sunset vistas, the multi-awarded Funky Gourmet Chefs Georgianna Hiliadaki and Nikos Roussos will showcase a 2-hour gastronomic journey, offering a degustation menu of Avant Garde Messinian–Greek cuisine.
For the first time in Greece, a restaurant awarded with 2 Michelin stars will operate outside of Athens, offering The Romanos guests an exclusive culinary experience; the superior raw materials of the region are combined with the highly esteemed Funky Gourmet cooking techniques in a unique presentation.
The menu balances colors, aromas and flavors, composing a delicious canvas that will appeal to all senses and elevate the Messinian gastronomy to new sensory heights.
The Funky Gourmet Chefs, Georgianna and Nikos, commented: “We couldn’t help but grab the opportunity to create a menu based on products sourced in the rich Messinian land. We consider the Messinian diet to be a gastronomic landmark of the Greek culinary heritage”.
Set by the Ionian Sea in a pristine scenery of olive groves, The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort, features 21 dining venues, including traditional and modern Greek, Mediterranean and ethnic cuisine among others. With an emphasis on fresh local produce, the restaurants utilize freshly cultivated vegetables and herbs from the resort’s gardens, alongside the extra virgin olive-oil from its centuries-old olive groves.
