The highly anticipated annual Afternoon High Tea event, hosted by Hotel Grande Bretagne, continues to intrigue and delight invitees. The spectacle that took place on November 22, 2017 was an afternoon to both behold and experience. The Inspector Clouseau and Pink Panther inspired event was well attended by prominent Greek bloggers and journalists who savoured every moment, from entrance to departure. The next event promises the ultimate indulgence and no less of a thrill.

The pulsating show took place in the Grand Ballroom of Hotel Grande Bretagne, a Luxury Collection Hotel, right in the heart of Athens. The atmosphere of thrill and mystery engulfed the esteemed invitees from the moment they entered and were greeted by Panther paw stickers surrounded by red laser lights guiding them to the ballroom, well bedecked in its mysterious attire.

Everything was beautifully executed and impeccably delivered as the guests were seated at the tailor made diamond-shaped tables, complete with all the essentials of a Royal High Tea. An exact emulation of the tranquil Winter Garden ambiance. While the guests sated their appetite with the delicious sweet & sour delicacies complimented by the elegant taste of Rose champagne, they were treated to a captivating dance performance by the Greek National Opera dancers.

A sharp reminder of the event’s mystery theme, came when the diamond went missing. Things intensified as Inspector Clouseau was commissioned to investigate the case. He eagerly accepted the challenge and entered with his expert team of investigators-dancers. The unveiling of the crooks brought the evening’s event to a high as Inspector solved the crime.

It was found that all the esteemed guests were themselves the culprits. The stolen piece of the diamond found in each guest’s possession bore a clearly written message; “So, it was you!”. No one was arrested. Each guest was allowed to keep their stolen treasure, a diamond-shaped chocolate.
