Travel to Medieval Rhodes this weekend

On Thursday, June 26th, at the Armory De Milly, there will be a series of lectures on historical re-enactments and modern representation of medieval practices. Furthermore, a research on the Dragon of Rhodes will be presented and the night will conclude with screenings of Dragon-themed films.

On Friday and Saturday, June 27-28, the Argyrokastron Square will be transformed to a unique bazaar and venue of medieval galore: handicraftsmen, street artists, musicians, stilt walkers and acrobats, theatre, battle re-enactments, jugglers and sword-fighting. A unique journey to Medieval Rhodes. From 18:30 to 23:30.
On Sunday, June 29th, the Hunt of the Dragon will take place, with groups of local people that will pass through traps, games and exercises to locate and slay the dragon. The winners will be knighted by the Grand Magister and receive the ceremonial robe and sword. The winner will lead the parade through the medieval streets as a glorious Knight, escorted by the other knights and crowd, to the always magnificent closing event of the Festival.
